Val's Prince

Postby UpInClass » Sat Aug 25, 2007 12:40 pm

Hello... I am writing to ask for assistance or guidance on how to change the photograph on the Val's Prince pedigree page. With his recent passing, owner Robin Martin is deeply saddened and in an e-mail to me asked if I might find a way to make the change... in celebration of her champion!

When asked about the photographs, my friend Robin wrote the following:

The one of Val crossing the line in HK has always been one of my favorites. If it is at all possible, can you figure out how to get THAT picture on the pedigreequery site instead of the one that is on there now? I've tried by using the MAINTENANCE option, but with no luck. I think that picture would sum up the heart and soul of Val perfectly. Afterall, that was his 17th race in one year (as a 5yo no less)...and he won despite the long trip, no drugs, running clockwise for the first time & carrying 131 lbs. Thank-you so much.

Here is the photo...

If someone here could make the change, it would mean a great deal to us!

Thank you for your help and understanding.

I couldn't get that link to work at all....the site seems to require login. It's also possible that the page the pic is on does not allow remote linking.

Is there any way you can put the pic up on another hosting site? If not, you can email a copy of the photo and I'll upload it for you...but I've found that there's often a loss of picture quality, so you may want to try moving the photo first. :)

Lucy... thank you for the excellent suggestion.
I placed the photo in "PhotoBucket" and that seemed to do the trick! :D
Thanks again... this will mean a lot to my friend Robin!
