Seattle Fitz Colt--Updated pics

Postby smeehan » Sat Sep 01, 2007 3:43 pm

These pics were taken a couple of weeks ago when our Seattle Fitz colt was 5 1/2 month old. The day was rainy, but the pics came out relatively ok. I also included a photo of him as a baby for comparison, as a lot has changed since then! Thanks for viewing!

Hi Tammy/Wishersprings!
This colt is a half brother to none other than Mickey the Muse! Thanks for your comments! We don't have a name yet--still waiting for something perfect to strike us. I haven't measured him, but he's a nice sized foal. As for his future, it will hopefully be filled with lots of racing! Love all the pics you've been posting also--Summit Climber is thowing some gorgeous babies!

He is a nice big colt with the really big bone that Seattle Fitz seems to throw. I wonder why the market has been so cold to his offspring at the sales? He is probably a terrific breed to race sire.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

Thanks for your comments, mike c and madelyn!

I can't wait until the first Seattle Fitz foals race--I too believe he'll be a nice racing sire, just the kind we look for in the Illinois-bred program. Seattle Fitz is really impressive in person and gorgeous too. This mare has had smallish foals that grow into smallish horses in the past, so this colt definitely got the good height genes from SF. It never makes sense why people just don't want to buy foals out of breed to race lines--from my experience, there's nothing better than years of solid, sound racing with your homebreds.

Wishersprings: Mickey the Muse is still racing and loving life! Can't wait to see your babies up around Chicago next year!

Nice looking boy.

I have parading Seattle Fitz for a while. He's such a gorgeous animal with a TON of presence and class! I also love his female family, which is tail-female to Frizette, same as Seattle Slew and Mr. Prospector.

I cant help but think he will get runners. Here's hoping for many reasons!
Don't be so humble - you are not that great.
