How many times are you going to list Jazil, champ?

I thought I was seeing double, Maven. LOL!

Corinthian and Hard Spun top my prospect list.

Jazil is probably a $10,000 horse. Wouldn't make my top ten.

On Jazil.... for 10k, I'll take my chances on a Grade 1 horse with stanima out the wazoo who's closely related to Rags to Riches as well as Peeping Fawn. one of the stronger families around, with seeking the gold on top. might be Seeking the gold's best bred son at stud.

I'm not bashing, I want to learn something. explain to me why you are head over heels for Corinthian? I just don't see it. make me see the light maven!!

i'll give you after market.. I actually just forgot about him. but I still don't think he would crack my top 5

I love Zanjero's female family, him and storm and may share the same 2nd dam, but I like Chelokees as well, probably more. both should do fine in the shed. I am also interested to see what this will do to Cherokee runs fee.

You can have hard spun.

Jazil had no speed is very small & headed to Shadwell. He would not make my top 100. I'm really not that excited about anyone other than Hard Spun & Discreet Cat. Any Given Saturday, Curlin & Corinthian round out my top 5.

there are too many speed based mares to cross him with that thiss hould be a problem.

3 of my fav stallions, Sadler's wells, Rahy and Nortern Dancer are pretty small horses by comparison to other stallions.

Corinthian.

First off, Pulpit has been a very popular and versatile stallion. He's, at this point, Indy's best son at stud, and he gets runners on every surface.

Corinthian's female family is truly one of the best in the studbook. He traces back to Rough Shod II, who is without argument, one of the most influential foundation mares in the WORLD.

Rough Shod produced Moccasin, champion 2-year-old filly and co-Horse of the Year, Ridan, Lt. Stevens, and Thong.

Thong in turn, produced the dam of champion stallion Nureyev, Special, who in turn, produced the dam of champion stallion Sadler's Wells.

Other members of this family are champions Gamely and Apalachee, important stakes winners Drumtop, Hail Atlantis, Gambetta, Staretta, Geiger Counter, Cutlass, King Pellinore, Thatch, etc.

Besides producing champion stallions Sadler's Wells and Nureyev, they're also responsible for recent good stallions Stormy Atlantic and Storm Boot, and recent retired G1 winner Bandini.

And trust me, i'm forgetting important horses! I think the only other family that probably have had historically more important sons at stud is the Almahmoud clan.

damn I might have been looking at the wrong pedigree... where do I sign up!

so it's no confidence that Stormy Atlantic is doing well at stud and Corinthian should have every right to do just as well if not better.

are you going to send any mares his way?

I will probably send something his way. He's been my "hot stallion prospect" since he was a yearling. I saw him at the Saratoga sale and LOVED him.

It really all depends on how the mares stack up to him later in the year. If something looks good with him, he'll be my first choice from a commercial play.

It doesn't bother you at all that Corinthian is seemingly batshit crazy?
