She's by the great world class turf stallion Silver Hawk (although you'd probably argue he's a good but not world class turf stallion in his day) out of a Caerleon mare, out of a Crystal Palace mare out of a Busted mare...

She didn't start until this year and in 7 starts she has two G1's and two G2's on her resume, as well as a stakes in her third start... lets not forget she's undefeated.

I guess my point to this is, her credentials are better than Tiago's and yet you talk one up like the second coming of Secretariat and show the other one only passing respect.

be not contained by forumla.. but for the most part.. rules are in place for a reason.

If my gut tells me that a horse is special, I'm not going to throw him out.

I don't get that feeling with Nashoba's key. she's beating up on weak horses.

Let's go back to the Belmont..

Let's say Hard Spun did exactly what he was supposed to do.. take off... instead of being held back like he was.. more pace... Tiago has a little more to run at... maybe he is right there with rags and curlin.

and comparing Tiago running 6th in the kentucky derby and 3rd in the Belmont..t hat it's not respectable.. is going to be a losing arugement on your behalf. espically considering how badly the pace was setup in the Belmont.

And for the record, distance will never be a problem with her either

didn't say it would be. However I still think that Lady of Venice would clean her clock at a mile and an 8th.

Let me put it this way.. Put Nashoba's key in the cash call mile.. and see what she does.

I guess my point to this is, her credentials are better than Tiago's and yet you talk one up like the second coming of Secretariat and show the other one only passing respect.

first of all, why in the world are you so worried about how I come up with what i come up with? I have my reasons and rationales that work for me. i've been at this for a while. I don't pick on you or tirade you when I step into your territory, which is breeding.. actually I do just the opposite. I try to pick your brain as much as possible.

handicapping horses is what I do. you might like AGREE with what i say.. but i can promise you, I"m not changing my picks because of a horse crush America has with a undefeated fily who has beaten no one.

Look at Curlin.. Curlin Beat absolutly NO one going into the Derby, ran a final time of 1:50 and d3 in his last prep, yet no one was higher than me on his bandwagon, and considering he went off at 5 to 1, i wasn't the only one that thought that either.

I know what I see (usually lol). Hitting the stretch in the BC F&M Turf, assuming Lady of Venice has a clear shot, I'll take my chances.

This is my picking your brain and rationale that I just find... well, not rational.

And I love how you think you're the only handicapper in the world. There are multiple people on this board who have more skills and experience than you when it comes to handicapping.

Remember that... you're not the best and never will be... none of us will be. Stop going out of your way to state how superior you are at handicapping. Its not only not true, but makes you look like a child.

With that said, Lady of Venice is not nominated and I don't think they'll supplement her. Its a lot of money for a horse that certainly wouldn't be a likely top 3 play for most people.

I never said that.. you seem to think that. However i never listen to other handicappers, as I don't need anything to muck up what I am thinking.. I lost one of the biggest scores of the year actually believe it or not, Tiago in the SA Derby.. I had him dialed in.. convential widsom would tell you not to bet a horse that hasn't finished first (Techincally) in a race in a Grade 1.. but I just didn't like anyone else and he had every right to improve

then I cut on the TV and listen to Joanne Jones and Lifit Pincay and others tell me how sam p and KOTR were virtual locks.. and i actually did like KOTR but didn't think he could get the distance. I mean I knew Black Seventeen would press the pace.. I knew there were going to be 3 horses not to far off of him... All Tiago had to do was be a pleasant Tap baby and not get tired and he would win.

And i passed on the race after listening to that... I was so pissed off that i din'[t make another bet for the rest of the week.

so you kinda have to understand where i'm coming from maven.. it's just as much as me reassuring myself as it is assuring you. I can't waver. whatsoever.

if i missed something, I'll go back and figure it out.

Stop going out of your way to state how superior you are at handicapping.

look whose talking!!!!

and I'm not bashful. How is starting a converstaion about who I like telling you I'm a better handicapper than you? women and their conclusions

if she wins this weekend, it would be hard not to. very hard not to. Unless O'Brien decides to change his mind about peeping fawn...I could take my chances with light shift and passage of time with this filly. however the team valor horse if she ends up there scares me.

man I lost all respect for the racing form after they touted bellamy road as the best horse of the century up until the derby.

that's why I like stake races.. because the media gets involved and messes everyones handicapping up.

If the Pac Classic were an open allowence there is no way in hell I would have gotten 24 to freakin 1 on student council.

the media will write articles about horses, driving down the prices, dirving up the prices on other horses.

Those writers change their minds like you and I change our socks. They love a horse until it runs a sub-par race.

Not with Talamo riding her-he managed to get her in trouble in a 4 horse race. BC Filly race will be a full field

better than people give her credit for. I'm giving wait a while a little more beneift of the doubt... if they say she didn't like the track.. so be it.

Tuc is smarter than people give her credit for :) .. one of OTHER reasons I don't like Nashoba's key... Talemo has found a way to get her into trouble in damn near every race... and I'm taking about 5 horse fields.

the best big time horse he rids is Willo O'wisp.. he puts him on the lead where I think Talemo is better. Michael BAe is a much better stalker than TAlamo at this point in their careers.
