sadler's wells /danehill and dirt

Postby kerryman » Thu Oct 25, 2007 3:43 am

Can someone explain why the offspring of sadler's wells and danehill don't perform on dirt? With so much American influences in both there pedigrees you would think they would throw the occasional dirt performer but I cant think of one. It's always puzzled me and with the BC around the corner I'd like confirmation that Aidan O Brien is wasting his time running George Washington on dirt.

George Washington definitely handled the surface in the Classic last year, he just didnt seem to get home over a stiff 1m2f.

Danehill and his stock are a little back at the knee. Dirt racing can be quite unforgiving on little defects like that
