have 6yr-old draft cross is only off behind at the slow trot..normal trot is fine, so is the canter...anyone? stifles ex rayed clean,

hmmm! presuming you've ruled out abscess or bruise, only thing i can think of might be the horse is a bit arthiritic and warms out of it as he increases speed. you'd have to be my age to appreciate this analysis :wink:

Stifles..... how about hocks et al....Aren't drafts bred to be close behind... actually touch from hock to ankle. Is there some hitting, or anything that could be connected to that type of conformation?

can't seem to handle turns and circles...gets "crouchy" behind
