Thoughts on these matings?

Postby TomFool » Thu Nov 29, 2007 7:32 am

the mare in question is Winning Appeal by Successful Appeal & the stallions I'm thinking about with her are Chapel Royal, Cuvee, Exclusive Quality & Rulers Court. Thoughts?

Any reason you're looking at young, unproven stallions for a maiden (I'm assuming as a 2004 model she's maiden) mare?

For about the same price and a little more in shipping (since you're willing to look at KY, LA, and FL, how about Real Quiet in PA? Or you could see if Darley is willing to wheel and deal on Quiet American. He has 2 stakes winners out of Valid Appeal mares this year and has clicked nicely with every strain of In Reality he's ever been given.

I was in the idea of breeding & selling in hopes of hitting it right on a first crop sire & I think Chappel Royal really fits her pedigree wise. I figure Quiet American will be more than I would want to pay for this mare but you never know untill you ask & thanks for your commets. A proven sire I have thought about is Pioneering as I always thought he never got due credit he deserves & Successful Appeal def loves more Mr P so I figure a mare by him may want more as well. Thoughts?
