x factor
why is it my stallion shows the x factor with some mares and combined with others does not show??? example: Sum Bad Cat (his 2006 filly) shows it but when you go to Rocky12(booties/summit climber colt) it only shows x factor on moms side???
He would only be passing it onto his filly's, because it 'travels' with the X chromosome. So his colts are getting his Y chromosome (making them colts, and thus not transmitting the large heart gene), and his filly's are receiving his X.
Hope that makes sense

tammysinnett, your stallion
tammysinnett, Nice looking stallion, too bad he is not closer. I have a Successful Appeal dau. that won her maiden going a mile as a 2 yo and was injured in a trailer accident. Not allowed to get over being sore and raced 2 more times, no good so she was bred. I then bought her... She woul have done well had they just given more time to heal and get over being so sore. She might have a Closing Argument type bred to your stallion
. His dam Peak has a few good runners to boot too! I'll be watching to see how his foals do at the track. You need to try some Successful Appeal line mares with him, who knows?
