MR MISTOFFELEES

Postby bdw0617 » Thu Apr 24, 2008 10:53 am

2YO Storm Cat x Country Romance colt makes debut in about 15 mintues at keeneland.

Also a Medaglia d'Oro and Candy Stripes colt in the race as well (one of both of course)

That Storm Cat colt doesn't waste much action.

I was wondering why they were running him in a 4.5f race at Keeneland. Now we know why!

This $1.5M colt ran very good, 50:2, and he is bred very similar to the dam of larrygene's stallion Counter Punch, so it is nice that he may bring the family to the front lines, I do believe he has a future.

DDT, I cannot thank you enough for mentioning, Counter Punch, and his relationship to M.M. It has been an uphill climb to convince breeders to breed to Punch. This year we have some very nice babies by Punch. I have one mare that will foal next month and will post pics. Living in Oklahoma and standing stallions in Louisiana is a bit inconvienent to get pics of babies other than mine. Hope to go down in the next few weeks to get pics of babies to show everyone.

Punch looks like Storm Cat and not Cozzene. But, he is correct and has a wonderful dispositon. Sock Monkey has seen him and will verify that he is a very nice looking stallion. And his babies are looking the part.

Thanks again, DDT,

Larrygene

MR MISTOFFELEES? Wow, what a horrible name. I'm sure it will bug me every time I hear it. Couldn't they have just called him Mr Mephistopheles or was that name taken? And is the "mist" part some bad pun because he's by Storm Cat? It's just so bad all around, it makes me want to root against him.

ears were pricked the entire way. Didn't love his head cocked to the right down the lane, but I'd take it!

'Mr. Mistoffelees' is the name of a cat in a T.S. Eliot poem. Or an Andew Lloyd Weber musical, depending on one's age.

Ahhh. OK. Well that makes a bit more sense. TS Eliot I like. Andrew Lloyd Weber, well, not so much.
