I am so frustrated one of my best mares will not culture clean. I have her going to Cozzene. I am so frustrated. Going to start treatment again today.UGH!!!! So late in the season. Fingers crossed this time it works.

What a bummer. Is there any consensus as to why she will not culture clean? Is she so tilted that bad material has no place to go but? Would a caslick help?

She is VERY slight tip. He treated her and then closed her up a bit. Her new culture came back dirty again.Vet will have the final results back tomorrow from R&R. So then we start the process all over again. So frustrated!

Curious - is she on oral antibiotics and oxytocin treatment as well? My fingers are crossed for you! Best of luck

I hope they did a sensitivity test as well as the culture. This late in the season you will need to treat her with the stuff that will kill everything in the first round. You may want to try Timentin or even Amikacin if they didn't do a sensitivity - the Amikacin, although pricey, will kill just about anything.

Well we have cultured dirty yet again. I am going to take one last shot at it and call it. UGH! Have my vet looking into the settle........ :cry:
