Valid Appeal
If you had a stakes producing Valid Appeal daughter, would you breed her to a stamina stallion or a sprint? I know that most of American races are sprint, but as many, my dream are the classics.

maybe a few of the expert can comment on this, but just by watching racing, it seems as though the unbridled line works very well with VA mares. i have seen a bunch of nice horses with that nick over the years. unbridled's song is obviously a bit expensive, but maybe one of the younger unbridled sires? you should have no problem with your quest for stamina if you take this route. good luck!!
Saarland is a new son of Unbridled. He was far from the quickest animal on the planet, but he is a very very nice looking animal. I do not think you can fault his pedigree. I am sure he was well kept and illegal drugs and steroids wheren't used to power him up. At 10,000 and being his 1st crop I think this is a racing vs. selling breeding. I can't imagine a huge 1st crop following for him in the ring. For sales purposes I think Vindication would be a great choice pricey ,but I beleive the foal would have a ton of value in the ring. I see you went to Miners Mark so I guess you like Phipps and family. Did you like what you got from that breeding?

Ooo, I think I would look carefully before putting a Valid Appeal mare to an Unbridled horse. Valid Appeals are quite refined and a bit small while the Unbridled's are large horses with tendancies toward unsoundness. If you get a large offspring with those refined bones (back at the knee some of them) you might be in for trouble. Of course, this is all guesswork since I don't know the mare's body style.
I've read that Northern Dancer is a good nick on VA mares, maybe because he too was a small horse, although stout. I believe I would look for a Danzig horse...

quiet american?...... a different son of fappiano. still a bit large, but i don't as big as unbridled. fits one of louis' nicks (questionnaire through dr fager). i notice your mare has a speed oriented pedigree. quiet american was speedy, but has princequillo on both sides. you might get a fast one with a big heart!! $20g through darley might be a bit expensive for that sire though.
hi Derby2004
Respectfully...why a Saint Ballado or a Wild Again?
Obviously anything is possible...but I suggest that both have proven very little thus far (as sires of sires). Saint Ballado has not and will not (for obvious reasons) have as many sons at stud as Wild Again...but even highly touted Yankee Victor (by Saint Ballado) has arguably disappointed (at least so far) and he was a Met Mile winner...and what about Captain Bodgit (ouch)...and Straight Man (ouch so far).
If you insist...maybe Flame Thrower (who runs in 2005) could be interesting...but as consistent sires of sires...I suggest that sons of Saint Ballado and Wild Again are becoming more and more suspect.

This is all true. I like Wild Again because he has a sires pedigree. He will prove himself eventually when he gets the right sons at stud. Hopefully Milwaukee Brew. I like Saint Ballado because he did so much with so little at the beginning. His sons babies will need time though. Straight Man definitely will need time.
hi Derby2004
You take your strongly made...neat...compact...good bone...stakes-producing Valid Appeal mare to (6 furlongs in 1:07 3/5) and G3 winner Omega Code (by Elusive Quality out of a Deputy Minister that's out of an Exceller that's out of a Damascus that's out of a Bold Ruler)...and I suggest that for very little money ($7,500 stud fee) you could ring a VERY big bell at the sales.
I expect that every pinhooker in America would take a look.
