Was a good read earlier. Glad to see Langfuhr top the list. He had been my choice as upcoming broodmare since last year. His daughters were getting some serious winners.

Arch is also performing very well, as is Coronado's Quest.

I downloaded it to read later, but since we picked up a Langfuhr daughter a little over a year ago, glad to see he's the top pick. She'll be in the Timonium sale, in foal to new PA sire Ecclesiastic [a B+ TrueNicks cross].

If the auction is as bad as some have been at this end of the market, she comes home & we foal a PA-bred Langfuhr son/daughter.

Interesting read but I believe he is a little late to the French Deputy party. Langfuhr is a strong everything sire. I am intrested to see how Lemon Drop Kid does as a future bms as he is one of the ones that comes to my mind on a short list.

Also a little late for Maria's Mon, but otherall well thought out and expressed. Truenicks has been working well for us so far and we plan to continue to use it. It's been a little challaging to bring clients over from Werk and explain why we changed.

I was surprised to see Grindstone named as one to bear watching. At $3,500 for a stud fee he might be a worthwhile try for a breed-to-race outfit if you get a filly.

I like broodmare sires out of great mares and Alydar and Seattle Slew sons have been good broodmare sires and that is why I think some of them will be good broodmare sires but on the other hand you can not go wrong with Deputy Minister as a broodmare sire line so it will be interesting to see how Awesome Again and Ghostzapper do as broodmare sires in the future.

I don't remember who the report named (aside from those discussed) and unfortunately it's not available now.

But for broodmare sires that are emerging now, I would put Coronado's Quest and Arch near the top of the list.

Alas Grindstone was $3500 when he was at Overbrook in the old days. Last I heard he was headed to Washington State a few years ago.

Forty Niner will wind up having the most profound influence out of all the sons of Mr. Prospector in terms of stamina. I'm not sure anyone will unseat Fappiano/Unbridled in terms of pretty though.
