This daughter of Tapit just won the Alyssum Stakes at Belmont Park. I believe that she was bred and sold by one of our board members.

There is an interesting article in the Bloodhorse, regarding this filly.

Thank you guys! and yes, LB I have been MIA. Things have been busy and hectic around here and I've mentioned on those other boards it has been discovered that I have 10 (or more) broken bones in my foot and have now been ordered non-weight bearing for 4 weeks to let the muscles and tendons relax and then surgery may be required. This happened when I broke my hip last year. No freaking wonder my foot has hurt since I have been able to walk on it the past year. DUH!
Back to this this wonderful gray devil! She looked great. Klesaris has done a great job with this filly and they were wonderful in giving her the time off she needed after her first race. Hey, I'm thrilled with three starts - 2 wins and one 2nd. I'm sure they are too! And a stakes race to boot. Rumor has it they will gear her towards a graded stakes race next. McCaskill being an 18 year old mare (did anyone see the truenicks article that made sure they pointed THAT out?) could care less although she was thrilled her filly won - I hope it helps the Suave colt a bit at the FT sale - although he will sell on his looks or not - although this will help him somewhat. Most people at the sales anymore are looking for pedigree and physical and if you don't have the physical they don't really care about the pedigree.
She looks as ornery as she did when she was here, although a little better behaved (ha).
