I love him and still might send something to him this year. By the time the foal is a yearling he will have 200 3 and 4 year olds running from his KY book of mares. If he brings them up at all like he did with his FL mares look out he will be damn hot by then. They are also offereing $5,000 no guarenteed (he is ultra fertile, so maybe worth the risk with the right mare), $7,500 stands and nurses or $10,000 proceeds from sale.

I was thinking I was the only one who loved him this year.

We have a Northern Afleet foal-- colt on the ground this year on the farm. He is a really nice colt, good disposition and balanced. I like him alot.

His numbers are descent he gets solid runners. I think he still holds good value.

Good racehorses. Tend to be off in front and sometimes clubby. They run but the conformational issues are why he doesn't get more respect at Auction. When you get a correct one they sell well.

Fair at best... well below the 10% SW's/starters threshold, and struggles to get graded stakes-caliber runners. The biggest problem with him are the long pasterns he passes on.

I hope you're not already knocking his entire crop of 2yos and adding them to the mix, just like you did with Najran when you knocked him (however adding Najrans 2yos in JAN was quite the blunder, 3 Graded winners from his 1st crop, not bad in my books) on your site. For $5k-10K what the hell else do you want he is consistantly in the top 100 and has been almost always the highes in his price range. But whateve he passes on long pasterns.

I was just saying he has 3 graded winners from his first crop and you used his entire 2yo crop in your analysis before any 2yo in NA had even worked let alone run. He may have a low AEI, but you can't say he has 3 crops of racing age when you are counting a bunch of yearlings that just turned 2.
I was questioning if thats how you are judging Northern Afleet as well, who already has a graded winning 2yo this year.

The .70 AEI was referring to Najran, not Northern Afleet.

N.A. is nationally ranked 4th on the leading sires list, and a solid 43% in the money from starts. Sure he's 4% stakes winners f/foals of racing age, but as stated he improves his mares and being ranked 4th and standing for only $7,500 , looks good to me.
