Open House. Stallions, foals and new riding complex...

Postby BlazingColours » Fri Jun 12, 2009 6:30 pm

We are hosting an Open House on Saturday June 20 from 11-4pm. Everyone is welcome. There will be a free BBQ from 12:30-1:30.

Our new State of the Art Riding Complex is open!!! It consists of a 80x204 indoor riding arena with an attached 40x204 stall barn. The stall barn has 26 stalls, an automatic stainless steel water bowl in each stall, 2 hot water wash bays, 3 grooming stalls, a bathroom, a tack room and a viewing room. The barn is fully insulated and all done in hardwood (ash) tongue & groove. Every stall has its own window and some have two. The barn floor is done in concrete with rubber mats in the stalls and the center aisle is finished off with interlocking rubber bricks. Lots of attention was paid to all the small details that make this a fabulous working horse farm comfortable for the horses who live here and of course for the people who work and relax here.

There are also several new paddocks and still more all-weather sand paddocks going in. The old bank barn has had a makeover with new tin and windows.

ALL 8 stallions will be here for viewing (5 Thoroughbreds, 2 WB's and a Welsh Sec. A). The young horses in training, broodmares, and 6 foals of this year will be here too.

This is going to be a great event with fabulous horses, facilities, food and people too!!! We have been breeding Thoroughbreds for a few years now and have just turned it over to breeding race horses as well. We have two mares in foal to race stallions... Officer Cherrie to Tiznow and Lickety Lemon to More Than Ready.

So who can make it??? And who is too far away but wishes they could :)

I wish I could. Sounds too scrumptious. Besides, I would love to see El Dorado in person. Maybe I could send my sister...

Wow, sounds beautiful. Wish you weren't so far from me, as I'd LOVE to get away from this heat and humidity! Hope the open house is a success and you fill the barn!

And perhaps FedEx us each some BBQ so we can really pretend?

Yeah sure I can have one of my girls on camera duty. And for the real experience with BBQ and all... If you give me your fex-ex account # I will have some food on the way! ;)

Still lots of little things to do to finish up the place but a week should be plenty of time... well as long as I do not sleep

Yeah Jenny there will be real meat burgers too! Just a few veggies for the few that like them better. Got your message and hope you and your family can make it. If not then stop in the few days following for a peak.

Of course, there will be photos. I will post some after. Does not look like my two race bred mares will be home for the weekend though.

3 more days to go and it is calling for rain tomorrow. Blah... Guess we are all going to get wet.

Hope to meet some of you on Saturday.

Thanks Tammy. It is calling for a good rain storm on Saturday. Ah well it can not all be perfect. Good thing we ahve a HUGE indoor to have the BBQ and since the barn is connected no one has to get wet... well except getting from the car to the barn.

So on we go... Rain, T-storm or perahps a ray of sunshine...

Edited to ask, Tammy did you get my PM?
