Blood panel results

Anyone know the significance & corrective action for the following out of limits on my horses panel? Seems like a lot are out of whack??

Glucose 17 normal 70 -120

Na/K Ratio 10 24 - 58

LDH 604 150 -450

AST ( SGOT) 676 180 -570

Total Billirubin 2.9 .1 - 2.5

Phosphorus 11.2 2 - 5.6

Globullin 2.5 2.6 - 5.6

What does your vet say? You're right, they are out of whack. How old is this horse, and is he or she going through a growth spurt? It is not abnormal to have elevated liver enzymes during a growth spurt, but I am not the expert, your vet is. Was there any chance that the sample hemolyzed prior to being spun and run?

Horse is 6 yrs old..........vet at first said everything is normal ..then I gota copy thank good ness & gave one to teh trainer.....I think it needs redone it got funky before they tested it ..maybe left it in the heat?

If the blood sits too long before being spun down, the results are all screwed up, literally. Have it redrawn and run right away. Chances are, it will be much better, if not completely normal (depending on why you had it drawn in the first place). Good luck.
