Freud
It has been a little over 2 years since I posted here or any board. ..since my filly was born February 2007..are there any owners of horses by Freud on this board..my baby is being broken and I'd like to know what your experience has been with this stallion's foals in training and racing..I really like this stallion
he's a mean SOB, and very high strung. and most of his horses can run.i saw him up close and personal just before the breeding season and decided against him.

Fortunately Lani is very laid back and loves attention. she is the only bay that the mare dropped..all others took after the dam and were chestnuts and built like quarter horses..Lani is leggy and looks more like a colt, she was always the biggest foal on the farm..everyone who sees her says she is the best foal the mare had..so I am crossing every bone in my body hoping this is the one I have been waiting for, a quality race horse.I have had absolutely no success the past ten years..this is the last horse..I no longer own the mare

I concur with the statement above..what a nice Freud..spoke with the Owner of the training center a couple of days ago, she is almost 16 hands.and 2 years old.. he has begun riding her and at first she was very playful and having fun..probably thought it was a new game since she has a playful nature...here's hoping that she realizes the final game is being in front at the wire
Good luck with the baby
Good luck with the baby
You might want to look at Giant's Causeway's numbers -
Freud entered stud in 2002 & had 36 live foals recorded in 2003. Assuming a filly from his 1st crop was bred at 3 (in 2006) & foaled in 2007, his first daughter's first foal could have hit the track as a 2 y.o. no sooner than 2009, so there's not a lot of evidence out there, yet.

There was another woman on this board who had a Freud foal.. I believe she commented that she had received feedback from his trainer about him being very level headed.
You won't find much info out there on him as a broodie sire yet and not too much on Giant's Causeway. The info you will find on G.C. will have to be taken with a grain of salt compared to Freud just due to the difference in the quality of mares each is getting.
