NOt sure where to post this-- but since things in life are on the hold and having a new member into the racing business is a good thing I wanted to post and welcome them. They are very very interested in this business. They want to learn. They have raised barrel racers and had champions. Phil and Laurie welcome with open arms.....listen to these good people they have the knowledge to get you far.
Here they are with their 3month old filly her mamma is a full sis to Illionois Debutante winner White O Morn.

Welcome. A word of caution, the people in the TB industry with the least to contribute will be the first to come forward and offer you 'free' advice. Loudly and frequently. It is 'free' for a reason.

So very considerate and kind of you tammysinnett. Welcome :D :D :D Phil and Laurie...

...and here's wishing you all the best with your lovely 3-month-old filly.

Based on tammysinnett's warm welcome and introduction...I'd venture a guess that you're very proud of your suckling filly and intend to offer her exceptional nutrition, quality care, plenty of love & attention...and a fabulous opportunity to be all that she can be.

Here's hoping that all your dreams for the filly come true.

Best.

Respectfully

Despite the above, this board is a very informative forum. Valuable and free are two words that are not necessarily in opposition. It is the extreme exception, when members are not trying to be helpful. Even with our differing opinions, knowledge, and experiences this website is truly a wonderful source of information. You would be amazed at the number of people in the industry who are not aware of this site. I recently sent a link to this board to an executive at the VA Racing Commission. He wrote me back saying what a wonderful site this is and he wished he had know about it years ago.

I agree with FOS: Welcome Phil and Laurie...

Phil & Lauri,

Welcome to an industry that at times can be difficult, stressful and full of deadlines for doing things. When you are on foal watch for days at a time and loosing sleep and very tired wishing it would hurry up already, you receive a godsent present thats bouncy and happy its all worth it and you will do again the following year. That foal is the start of all your dreams for the future.

May all your hopes & dreams become reality and may your babies get to the winners circle and come home safe.
Thanks,

Kathy
