No love here for this great colt? He ran another great race today at Lepardstown. It was a pleasure to watch it this morning on TVG. I think that he is the best colt in the world right now.
(Of course Rachael Alexandra is the best filly)

Going a flat mile on the Turf, Goldikova might beg to differ with you.
she defeated older males TWICE last year in Group and Grade 1's
last year as a 3 year old. This year she's a slacker and only crushed them once.
But I do agree Sea the Stars is the male horse bar none.

I've enthused about Sea The Stars on other threads. I saw him at Newmarket when he won the 2000 Guineas and he's a magnificent athlete. As I've posted before, Quality Road is the only other horse I've seen this year which IMO is his physical equal.
I hope to see them test each other in the BC classic with the "birds" thrown in for leavening. And if Zenyatta chooses to use the race to shoot for HOY -- so much the better. No matter who wins the ultimate winner would be racing itself.

He is a megastar, did you see the two Ballydoyle pacemakers try to cut his throat, then Fame and Glory try to steal a march on him? He just coasted past them... throw Mastercraftsman and Casual Conquest in the beaten brigade and you have a seriously outstanding colt. He just keeps showing up, I bet Mick kinane and Christopher Tsui never thought they be involved with a better horse than Galileo and his half brother no less!!!

Filling a void
I feared there might be a gap in the racing world when Yeats and Dylan Thomas left the scene, but then came Sea the Stars and filleld it. He is awesome (a word I don't use often). Saw the Irish Champions win this a.m. and it is wonderful to think there is such a creature on our planet.
His trainer is taking it race by race. Thinking no further than the Arc right now. I wish I would have caught the race this morning.
Here you go:

There is a chance he might run in the Arc, the going was yielding yesterday and of course mr Oxx is very careful in his sayings. It all depends on the ground.
This was his fifth group 1 by the way.

Actually Mick Kinane is quoted as saying:“To find a horse like him at this stage of my life is fantastic, and he’s the best one I’ve ridden. It’s phenomenal how he can travel, he’s never in trouble, and I haven’t ridden a horse like him who can do it any distance.”
That's saying a lot since Kinane has ridden dozens of elite horses during his 34-year career, including Azamour (Ire), Electrocutionist, Galileo (Ire), Giant’s Causeway, High Chaparral (Ire), Johannesburg, Montjeu (Ire), Rock of Gibraltar (Ire), Vintage Crop, and Yeats to name only a few.
As John Oxx, his trainer, said of Sea The Stars, “He’s one of those landmark horses that come along every 25 to 30 years that we always remember, and he’s the nearest living thing to a machine. If any of us is still around at the end of the century, I doubt there will be too many other horses who have achieved what he has done.”

STS is a NON-FASHION BRED with an outcross pedigree with no dupe of Inbreeding. Those NFB are all hickory & then some, with an iron constution & can bounce back with the hybrid vigor they inherited from their outcross pedigree. STS will tell his trainer if he's up to the task of the BC.
Those without sin cast the first stone.
