Dear Madelyn and all: Not only has this thread gone global but it's gotten out of hand.
Even Plan B isn't looking too terribly inviting. I haven't been thinking clearly, but I do have Plan C.
One of our mares is going foal soon and I am currently on my knees praying that my wife will be so enamored with the foal that she'll forget this Friesian fetish and I will be saved. I'll keep you posted. Otherwise, my last post has clearly delineated the parameters of Friesian I'm willing to deal for. Let's all keep focused on the bottom line. Best wishes - Shammy
Friesans
Shammy- I have some wonderful photos of myself riding a beautiful Friesan when I was in Holland- also I have a photo of another horse I rode who was a half draft, half Friesan-
they were both wonderful horses and I have wanted one ever since!
I was visiting an island near the North Sea- Tershelling- my spelling is not right- but it was great because you must either ride a bike or a horse there. So take your wife on your vacation there and let her get her Friesan fix!
I would email these to you if they would get through aol!

Instead of the Azores you might try this instead- and the correct spelling is Terschelling. You take a ship from Harlingen to get there and there are plenty of B and B's to stay. I stayed in a town called Hoorn.... the stable was right there.

Roxie901:
The pictures are great of you and the Friesians. It's unlikely that I can convince my wife to head to the Netherlands. She hates the cold and our last two vacations have been to areas with less than temperate climates. It's definitely the Azores in November. I'll show her the pictures though and see if I can spark her interest. Aside, your last PM really floored me. I just can't imagine doing business that way. I can't imagine staying in business with that kind of service and care. Keep smiling though and when you get a chance come visit Sassy. We'll keep the light on for you.
Best wishes - Shammy
