Analysis on NATIVE DANCER's tail male

Postby Jorge » Wed Jun 16, 2010 7:06 pm

What makes the Native Dancer tail male lineage be so prepotent in terms of predominantly preserving his tail male line as opposed to other good horses that can only preserve its tail male lineage only for a couple of generations aside from their female line? Cases like Round Table and Princequillo comes to mind.

Thanks for your opinions.

Native Dancer line stallions sire winners mostly through Mr P and Northern dancer line stallions.

But Northern Dancer isn't tail male Native Dancer --he's Nearco, Pharos and the dread Phalaris.

Tail male is the God myth of breeding -- the Y chromosome just doesn't amount to much other than sex determination.

What is happening here: chancy luck? (wow, what a reiterated luck!)
or coincidence (wow, how many coincidences!) No, we are not denying the role of the "X" and "Y" chromosomes, but this sounds too coincidential.
Comments?

Is this pure non-sense and period?

Every thing a stallion passes on is not in his Y chromosome

can a filly be tail male RAN

Postby stancaris » Tue Dec 03, 2013 12:19 pm

Question? Can a filly be tail-male Raise A Native. Genuine Risk comes to mind. She is by Exclusive Native, a son of RAN. Yet she inherited Exclusive Native's X chromosome (not his Y). Technically she is tail male RAN but does not carry RAN's Y chromosome
