Sabino? Opinions

Hello everyone, I'm from the Canary Islands (Spain) and I've always used this database, but never before entered the forum. I discovered this color corner a few weeks ago so I decided to register.

I breed thoroughbreds and arabian horses. Up until know we used them just for racing, but we started breeding thoroughbreds last year.

This is our stallion, Lorentz

As you can see he has a stripe and a spot on his belly. His stockings are pretty irregular... I've always believed he could carry the sabino gene, but I have not been able to take tests on him in order to know for sure.

I would like to hear your opinions ... does it look like it ?

Looks sabino to me. The high ragged extensions of leg white, the belly spots, his "bebeblanco" head stripe, two doses from Northern Dancer. In short he is sabino to me.

Looking at his sire he would appear to be splash look at his tail
I also had a sadlers well grandaughter they are very marked under there bellies the Genetisist thought from the photos must likely splash.

I vote sabino as well especially with his pedigree

And may I say with our knee deep snow, I REALLY like the sun and sand and LACK of snow in your pictures right now!!!

TrueColours I'm glad you like him, your horses are great! I think I learnt that cremello TBs existed when I first saw Guaranteed Gold

We have had several days of strong raining, and some snow...but only above 2000m (6500 ft?¿?) and it's REALLY rare to have snow here (twice a year if we're lucky). It melts in two days or so and then you have sun again hahaha! And that's the most winter-like event you will see here.

We have 18ºC (64F ?) today, it's windy, and that's already a little cold for me! We aren't used to it... I don't know how I managed Paris in December, with 3ºC ... I think I was so happy to be having snow every day that I didn't mind

LOL! It's -23ºC this morning where I live. (-10ºF)! I envy you!!!!

wow! the coldest temperature I have experienced in my life was -2, with -23 I'd probably be at home stuffed in blankets

I'm definately not made for cold weather! but I try to enjoy snow in the few opportunities we have

I would say he carries both sabino and splash.

Minus 55 is the lowest for me, and that was in a holiday spot known as Watertown, New York, on the Canadian border. Most snow was in Syracuse, where it was coming in our second story windows if you opened them.

I am NO DNA expert....but I say he is sabino...Lacy stockings and milky blaze.....He doesn't have the lower white on his lip....BUT has the stray spots on his belly.....

I sure hope he gives you some CHROMEY babies...

The name of this horse with high leg markings is Hollywood Script (chestnut colt 2009)
