Hello,
I found another son of the Tourbillon Sireline pretty new at Stud.
His name is Notnowcato (Inchinor - Rambling Rose by Cadeaux Generaux) standing in England. During my research another one poppud up named Orientor by the same Sire.
Regarding the "Luthier" line I found out, this strain was extended by Montcontour, who was obviously exported to Russia and he had atleast one son at stud named Fenomen. Many years ago a horse named 'Eimer' sired by abovementioned stallion started in Germany, if my memory don't fail at Baden-Baden and he was a winner.
Regards, Bettina

Sparkman had a good article on his pedigree going back to Herod.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

Found one in Japan from the My Babu grandson Parthelon. He's a 1988 model from a superior father, both of whom were Japanese horses of the Year, classics winners and the sire, Symboli Rudolf was an undefeated Japanese Triple Crown Winner who died this year at the age of 30. Stallion's name is Tokai Teio, and I haven't checked yet to see if any of his sons are still going. PQ info has TT as an active stallion, but lord knows when the note was added.
TT's best son was also a gelding , and was considered the best homebred Japanese horse in 2002. That's not to say his line is completely dead, though.

Tourbillon Sires
Hello,
when I went throughthe list of "Melbourne Cup" runners I came across a Sire named Nicobar (Indian Ridge - Duchess of Alba by Belmez).
He has only a handful of progeny listed, but his son Dunaden will run in Australia.
Regards, Bettina

This has been a very good year for Tourbillon descendants. Too bad the line is so close to extinct. Do you suppose the successes this year will encourage more breeding to Herod?
According to France-Galop, Nicobar has had 26 foals since 2006. 14 were 2006, and one was an AQPS. Since then he's had as many AQPS foals as PS (TB). Perhaps now that one of his has won The Melbourne Cup more mare owners will consider using him.
