Scat Daddy A Turf Sire

Postby Patuxet » Sun Sep 25, 2011 9:12 am

While turf ability tends to be the kiss of death for a US-based stallion, it's worth noting that Scat Daddy has come up with yet another impressive turf performer in his first crop, this time in a G2 in England.

Finale's win in the Continental Mile is equally impressive.

We have a Pleasant Tap mare in foal to him that will be headed to November, and I have to say, all the early word on him from the spring is coming into fruition.

I love that they're running on every thing and he's such a nice, moderate horse physically, he works with just about everything.

IMHO Johannesburg had a lot of opportunity and just didn't do all that much so Scat Daddy's early success is a pleasant surprise, esp since he ran on dirt. (Did he run on turf or syn?). Coolmore would certainly have the wherewithal to develop a quality runner with turf potential tho even if the initial look at the pps doesn't say turf.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

I own a beautiful 5yo mare in foal to him on a single cover (3-26). Out of a stakes producing RAISE A NATIVE mare; 2nd dam is Broodmare of the Year MRS. PETERKIN, who is also ancestress of ZENYATTA.

PM me for price and details.
