Hi bdw,
Wow...beating Bode after Bode had everything his way....this horse is something! Only thing better than I'll have Another today was Mario Gutierrez...it looks like horse and rider will both be super stars. TJ

that's what makes it so impressive. Bode did not slow down he got beat.

I'll have antoher just had like, a will to win or something.

i really hope BM goes to the belmont.

i will say i was not happy at all with mike smiths ride. the whole thing about BM's natrual speed is you make other horses do thigns they dont' want to do. he didn't take hte race to him like he did in the derby. i think he should have went for the throat in the first half mile.

some horses you have to baby them on the lead and hope they have enough BM is not one opf those horses. make them come get me.

Hi bdw,
That will to win is sitting on I'll Have Another's back....this rider is as amazing as the horse under him! There will be new, well rested shooters in the Belmont....don't forget about Union Rags and Dullahan waiting in the wings:>) TJ

One of the most exciting finishes in The Triple Crown series I've seen.

The most impressive thing I saw was the overhead view of the race as I'll Have Another begins his stretch charge after Bodemeister - even as Bode is pulling away from Creative Cause. I'll Have Another just steadily gains on Bode, one long stretched out stride after another....even as they are leaving Creative Cause who finished third, behind. Bode ran his race today and ran it well he just ran into a 'worthy adversary' in the Derby and today who had a little more "umph" at the end. Not sure that we've even seen the best that I'll Have Another has to offer yet....he seems to be maturing/improving with each new test.

And kudos to Creative Cause who has shown a lot of heart in both these races considering the injury he incurred coming into the Derby and his racing/shipping schedule.

also i have to give credit to the woman here who called i'll have another. give credit where credit is due good pick.

this is a really really special group of 3YO's. most years creative cause would have won at least 1 leg of the triple crown. he would have mauled last year's preakness.

After the race someone said, "It's like Affirmed and Alydar all over again."

I hadn't given it much thought, but now that he mentioned it... :)

He's been good to my betting account. What a fine horse. The Belmont distance is not the worry for the first time in a LONG time.

I thought of it. A few similarities.

Yeah, me too. Different running styles, but under rated horse, very young rider. Here's to success in the Belmont for the team.

the least of my concerns is IHA getting the trip

the most of my concerns is the jockey making the death move in the belmont that every jockey that has never rode there before makes too early.

Believe I heard that I'll Have Another's jockey was riding at Pimlico earlier this week. Perhaps he will do the same at Belmont to get experience at the track. Smart young man, truly on the rise. Hope we continue to see him on stakes horses.

Missed seeing the live broadcast and just watched the replay and all I can say is wow. Incredible race and such a fun crop to watch!
