I'm exceedingly fond of home-baked chocolate chip cookies, but alas, coming to Madelyn's for an IHA party is out of the question -- matter of fact, Belmont Day will find me traveling to my son's wedding (this year of all years, I have to miss the telecast!). Those of you lucky enough to be on Madelyn's invite list, enjoy; I can vouch for her as a wonderful hostess!

Avalyn!!!! How could this happen?!?!?! All my children, nieces, nephews and friends know better than to have a wedding on ANY of the BIG race days.

Hi Jagger,
His Derby, Preakness and if all goes well for him, The Belmont will all have been won on the same dates as Secretariat's TC bid 39 years ago. TJ

Oh, the wedding isn't on Belmont Day, but my travel time is. Such is life.

Mahubah - we were traveling down the PA Turnpike on Preakness day. Turns out we stopped at a McDonalds for a quick drink and lo, they had the Preakness on a large screen HDTV (!)

Well worth planning a little stopover somewhere I say...

Turns out we may be in Ky that day. I'm sure we can find a place to watch it there!
