Looking for a trainer

Postby karenkarenn » Sat Jul 28, 2012 1:36 pm

I am looking for a trainer that specializes in the mile or longer. Esp a trainer that knows how to condition a route horse. Anywhere in the U.S.

Any more hints? Grass? Dirt? Syn? Communication style? Surely there are some preferred locations...

Our very own Wilf does a hell of a job getting a horse ready to run a route of ground.

Good luck with your search!

You want trainers for routers. All three of those are excellent with routers. Just look in Saratoga this month, you'll find them there.

Good because I thought it was Shug McGaughey.
Okay so you would list these trainers in that order or is there a personal preference that you would have over another? And I wouldn't have guessed Christopher Clement was his name.

If you live in the area called "The Great Basin" then I guess that trainers in California would be a good fit for you. There are several that can train good horses to go long and there are plenty of opportunities out there too. If I were out that way I would probably be having a blast on the Northern California Fair Circuit right now and they have a nice marathon race up at Ferndale next month. Why are you interested Karen if it's not too much to ask?
