I would like to read your opinions on this topic. Well I think
it is also a question.
What is the experience, protocol or rules applied by you or
farms you know regarding talented sires who no longer
can get mares pregnant in normal numbers but who could still
get pregnant one or two mares sporadically?
If possible, please cite examples you know.

Babur
Hello,
maybe it's a bit of topic.
I vaguely remembered his name appears in a contemporary Sire in Europe. Well, I wasn't wrong, he is the Sire of the 4th dam of American Post (by Bering, from the same damline as the German Sire Acatenango). He stands in France.
Regards, Bettina

According to a study mentioned in "Stud" keeping a stallion near mares raises the testosterone levels. Keeping a stallion with other males, lowers the testosterone levels.
So letting an older stallion have a couple of mares near, might rev up the system.
This seems to be how the King Ranch got a few foals from the sterile Assault.

Thanks for bringing up this issue on Assault.
Wow, very interesting, not to say very revealing as per farm practices
Have you seen farms where all their sires are stuck up
in the same farm house. Imagine a 25-year-old stallion competing for his psychological space alongside the new kids on the block, namely, the recently retired emerging sires. This scenario, vis-a-vis an older stallion with a bunch of atypical mares among them one or two mares
with an atypical or neurotical character. Hmmm, this makes much sense. But you know something, the toughest part would be for farms to acknowledge that this proposition completely contradicts their practices.

Given your self-proclaimed aversion to flame-haired Irish women, and your similarly self-proclaimed lack of success with women in general, gelding would seem to be somewhat redundant.
