http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... 000-pounds

"Frankel, the Cartier Horse of the Year for this year and last, will begin his stallion career at Khalid Abdullah's Banstead Manor Stud near Newmarket, England, for a fee of £125,000 (approximately $198,500 in U.S. funds)."

Wow!!!

You get what you pay for! 8)

Possibly the best turf horse in memory, by the best stallion in Europe? Sounds like a no-brainer to me, for someone who has a mare worthy of the nomination. 8)

He looks like a great stallion prospect, but what does his female family look like? His two brothers are useful racehorses.
His 2nd dam has produced Powerscourt...how has he done at stud?

Hello,
I have a special interest in this branch of Fam. 1.

So I listed most of the racehorses/Sires I could track down.

Here is my 'shortlist': Fumo di Londra (Indian Ridge), Mtoto(Busted), Mutamam (Darshaan), Blue Canari (Acatenago), Zenato (Acatenango),
Maroof (Danzig), Deserl King), Devil's Reef (Devil Begone), Harbinger (Dansili), Zabara (Persian Gulf) etc.
An early Sire from this branch is Fine Art (by Artist's Proof), you will spot his name in the damline of the great racemare and broodmare Miesque (by Nureyev).

Regards, Bettina
