What Secretariat stallion and mares are still breeding???

Postby Hanesph » Fri Jun 28, 2013 12:03 pm

I'm curious as to what Secretariat stallions and mares are still breeding? The only one that I know of is Innkeeper at Virginia Tech. His last foal crop I believe was 1990. Anyone know of any fertile Secretariat stallions that are still alive and breeding?

Supposedly Regal Secret is in NC, but if you go to the Harris Training Center's website, they list Secret Runaway's stud fee, but not Regal Secret's (they just use the term "home of" on the website), so I'm guessing they've turned Secret Runaway into their stallion and pensioned Regal Secret.

I feel like there are others, but they may not be acting as TB racing stallions. Sport horse sounds more viable. I'll look around for that.

Careless Secretary was on limited stud duty in Germany, his last foal was produced in 2011. Don't know if he's still on the job. Nice picture of him at 21 years of age TJ
