The Garden City and Jamaica are now the Belmont Oaks and Belmont Derby Invitationals.

It's so boring.
It's impossible to remember which names are which now, like the one's at Santa Anita (the Awesome Again, etc.). Oh well, times are a changin'.

I can't help but mentally try to undo and translate them into the old ones. I think the Forerunner is the Norfolk and the Chandelier is the Oak Leaf? Something like that. So stupid that names get tied to meetings. It doesn't seem to have the tradition and import when the name gets changed. You can't remember who did what in that race in the past without looking it up.
