All these horse dropping out is the main reason I don't care about the Derby anymore. These horses can't withstand training and racing. Is it the training, the drugs or the breeding? I know one thing, we will never see Honor Code and Cairo Prince race again because they are not gelded. This is the way of the game. I have basically given up on the Triple Crown series. American Horses are weak and full of drugs. I just follow females and geldings. That's it.
As far as the Derby goes, I will watch it and root for California Chrome because I love his blue collar background and less than commercial pedigree. I am not betting on the race. As a matter of fact, I will DVR the race and watch it later. I would much rather socialize with my friends and talk about music, NFL, and play some games of euchre.

This probably won't make you feel any better, but Ring Weekend is a gelding.

I really like the 3-year-old fillies this year. In Tune has hurt her shin and is out of the Oaks, hopefully she comes back in the summer. Other Oaks fillies dropping out include Euphrosyne, Room Service, and Sweet Reason (who was always on the fence).

Just read Ring Weekend is out with fever, which lets in Commanding Curve (after that work yesterday...?).

GrahamMotion @GrahamMotion
Ring Weekend spiked a temp this morning of over 102 & bloodwork confirms an infection. Sadly he will not be able to take part in Ky Derby.

thank goodness - Bayern was 2 months short of anything resembling 'ready'.

Run the race - the one that's really worth winning.

So Rosies ( ken ramserY) horse is number 1, but goes in the 2 gate. Harrys Holiday goes into PP 3, Uncle Sigh is PP 4. Danza goes into PP 5, Cal. Chrome PP 6, Samaart is PP 7, We miss Artie is PP 8, General A Rod is PP 9, Vinceremos is PP 10 and Wildcat Red is PP 11....
The rest of the field stays in their original PP.

Hi D,
Ward was overruled by his partner's vote. He wanted to run in the Derby (because he bred the horse), his partners didn't want to run from the 20 post. Pablo Del Monte will run in the Preakness....supposedly they've agreed on that:>) TJ

Intense Holiday is out of the Belmont, with a condylar fracture.
