Re: Sky Princess
OMG Madelyn, I just logged in and have missed all the action, we'll done. You might have a lot of fun with this horse. Keep us posted.
Re: Sky Princess
Thanks wilf. It's kind of amazing. She is "undefeated"!
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Re: Sky Princess
Well that track at Mahoning Valley was up to her knees and she got so frustrated with it she kind of quit there. We will see tomorrow how she feels about the dirt at Keeneland. In the 2nd race....

Re: Sky Princess
From a rock bottom maiden win at Turfway to a starter allowance race at Keeneland? Wow..................
Re: Sky Princess
You might have missed the 2nd win at Turfway for NW2 $15K? Anyhow after finally figuring out a pulled muscle under the sacroiliac and having back treatments she was back in form yesterday to run the rail at Churchill Downs and get beat at the wire with Calvin Borel aboard. 3rd by 1/2 length in NW3 $16K-$14K.

Re: Sky Princess
A place at Churchill Downs with Calvin Bo-rail up! That's awesome, Madelyn.
I thought I had Sky Princess in my virtual stable but I'm not getting notices.
Laurie
P.S. Finally got to visit Churchill Downs last fall and saw Calvin ride after returning from retirement. (He won on a longshot.) Great experience. Maybe some year we'll make it to the Derby.

So many pedigrees...so little time. (C)
Re: Sky Princess
Congrats Madelyn, good job.
Re: Sky Princess
Thanks I figured that filly must like the rail since she won her first two with it; then when caught wide at the turn she tried to duck for the rail but the jock in that race pulled her back to the outside and she failed to fire. So I thought maybe I could pair up the filly that likes the rail with the rider that likes the rail! It was GREAT to get to meet Calvin and leg him up on one of my homebreds!!!

Re: Sky Princess
Tragically we lost the lovely Sky Princess yesterday. She took command of the lead at Belterra and stepped in a hole. It was a really bad slab fracture of the third carpal on the right knee. She was the soundest horse I have ever had - the racing surface and the racing gods got her.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
