Mid-Atlantic Broodmares

Postby Shammy Davis » Mon Jun 13, 2005 6:14 am

This has not been a stellar year for my small sporthorse operation. We've lost two valued mares. One in February aborted then foundered and the second, aborted twins with much difficulty and then died. Another slipped and is open. That being said and having wiped the tears away, we might be able to help another breeder having difficulty by offering free service to our stallions preferably with registered TB mares in VA, but open to others. In return, all the mare owner has to do is list us as co-breeder. Our stallions are REBOUND out of a Drone mare and Chance Spender out of a Norcliff mare, both by American Chance. These boys are normally privately stood so I've not registered them as VA studs. That is why the preference for VA mares. I only have limited space. If interested contact me via PM.

I know of Rebound. He was quite a young horse in his day!!!

Hi- sorry to hear about your losses! Sounds like 2005 has been a tough/rough year all around.
Do you think Sassy has taken yet? Keep me up to date! :)

Chuck hasn't shown any interest in her for the past month or so. She looks great and is full of herself. By mid-July, I'll have an idea of sorts. I'm running on a low budget right now. The VET bills have got me playing catch-up. You know how that is. I'll keep you posted. Hope all is well for you. I'm not sure I'll make the VA Derby but I hope you re-build your excitement about the horses. Best wishes - Shammy
