I will be burning the rubber on I95 between Delaware Park, race 3, for Lei Diavalo (MCL16K, 6F dirt) and Philadelphia Park, race 10, for One and Only You (Mrs. Penney Stakes, mile and 16th on the lawn.)
The parks are a solid hour apart without traffic. Yeehaw!

All the best Denise...... Do you race the horses off the farm? If so where is your farm located?

The horses are stabled with their trainers in Lancaster County, PA on a 53 acre farm, with many miles of turf gallops in the surrounding area.
They get to train in a variety of different environments. Our trainer Wendy also uses a 5F dirt track on her father's farm for workouts when necessary.
They have about 30-32 horses on the farm at all times, but get in and send out many layups, rehabs, and others that need time to chill. They are specialists at breaking and training babies, rehabbing sour track horses and working on turf specialists like ours. It's kind of interesting that we actually have a dirt horse among them, truthfully!

Lots of luck, with them two. I like the kind enviroment your horses are trained. Special that the turfers don,t need to train on the dirt.

Denise I actually think the type of trainingg your horses are getting makes them happier. I have a baby on a farm in PA but they do not break or train. I am looking in the future for a good place to send him next year.

Then I heartily recommend Breakaway Farm for your baby, Des.
If you'd like to take a look at it sometime, please let me know and I'll set it up for you. The trainers are Wendy and Travis Kinnamon. The farm is just into Lancaster County, minutes off Rte. 1. About 40 minutes from Delaware Park, about an hour and 10 from Penn National.
If you need references on them, ask Joe (who posts on this board) or John Servis, Tim Ritchey and Steve Klesaris. They all send horses to the Kinnamons for breaking, training and layups.

Good luck Denise! In your races, that is, and the stretch between them. I'm picturing you in a sporty convertible, nipping in and out of traffic, hanging on to your Camilla hat. Since that's a stakes race at Philly Park I am assuming you'll be wearing it.

I'll be cheering Lei Diavolo and One and Only You on TV as I have fallen ill after going to Belmont yesterday.

Lei Diavalo just missed again at Delaware and You finished 7th in the stakes. We think she You was just way up too close to the pace early, and it was speedy; the closers came fast.
You will come back in an A-other than at a mile and an 8th on the grass on Aug. 1, we hope. Both girls came out of their heats just fine.
Monicabee, the convertible, alas, is a nice Honda Accord instead. But the hats were fabulous. Gotta keep paying homage to the different silks.
