Has there ever been a horse called "The Edge"?

D__m, but that would be a good name for a race horse.

There is..

The Edge of Goodby (95) and
The Edger (77) according to the APR. Could have been some named that in the last year tho.

Yeah , The Cliff's Edge was the favorite for The Kentucky Derby thisyear . Or was it Smarty Jones ? Well , anyways yeah he was the favorite or secound favorite in The Kentucky Derby .
He lost , though . I think he lost a shoe or something on Derby Day . Which is why the "accident" that he lost . And , I'm not sure if he's racing anymore .

Could be wrong on both counts, but I believe The Cliff's Edge lost two shoes in the Kentucky Derby and he's still in training and being headed toward the Breeder's Cup Classic. Nick Zito trains him.

dunno if that'll come up but check out the Jockey Club Online Registry...the horse is actually named "Edge" but they consider it the same name and you won't be able to register a thoroughbred under that name
