Adena Springs set stud fees and moves stallions
Okay Sligo Bay and Milwaukee Brew have been shipped to Florida, but the really interesting thing to me was North Light's initial fee being set at $50,000. I realize he's a classic winner in Europe, but isn't $50,000 a little steep for a first year grass horse in the U.S. especially one who's so entirely turf bred?

Yes, except its not just a little steep, it's a lot steep...

I think the fee is way too much for North Light, which is a shame, because Danehill has had so much influence else where in the world, it would be interesting to see what his line could do here. You would think they would have learned their lesson with Sligo Bay being a son of Sadler's Wells and he obviously didn't get much interest that he's on the move already. Just seems a shame that an English Derby winner won't be given a fair shot at stud. I'm sure if the fee was a bit lower there would be more interest in shipping mares over here too.
