Stallion Register for 2006...?

Postby skeenan » Mon Oct 24, 2005 6:57 am

When do they come out? I don't remember from last year...
And can anyone order one (or only subscription holders)?

I keep looking on the Thoroughbred Times/Bloodhorse website, and there's nothing yet...

They usually come out right after the BC races. You can order directly from BH or TT.

I haven't yet received my proof page for the Stallion Register for my horse.. so I guess they have not yet gone to press.

I know it can be purchased separately from a subscription ($30 or $50).
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

I believe they usually come out in the first week of December.

That used to seem timely (back when farms didn't annouce their new stud fees until after the Nov. sale) but now so many stallions fill up so early that I usually have everything booked by then. I wish they would start producing it sooner.

For the Wavering Monarch mare I mentioned in the "Mating Advice" forum, I used the Bloodhorse's online stallion register. MANY of the farms standing stallions provide free hypothetical matings online through that site. It was great!

It is cool, and I have also used the Thoroughbred Times register... I just liked the fact that with a hard copy, you can look at all the stallions at once... for me, it's just "coffee book" material... something to add to my TB library! :D
