Can anyone tell me what would be the best cross for this filly for sport horse offspring? And how would either of my stallions cross with her for one? Any suggestions??

Her name is Skyward Flame

My stallions-- Screen Trick and PF First Trick

Thanks everyone

Stephanie,
I have one TB mare I breed sporthorses from so I can give you some advice on this, although there are thousands of opinions. Firstly start with your mare and be very critical. What ever faults she has try and pick a stallion who will compliment these faults. Then you have what registry you want the foal to be in. The dutch don't accept TB's for full regstration, the irish book will register the off spring, and your mare can go for approvals with the german stud books. At least some anyway, or you can just go for the American Warmblood. There are a million sporthorse stallions out there so take time to think what you want, jumper, dressage, ect. Also ask stallion owners about temperment of offspring, incidents of ocd. If they are honest they will tell you. I have been breeding my mare dutch and have decided to switch in 06 as they don't really want TB mares in the book. I have my mare fully registered with the Zangersheide Stud. I want to breed showjumpers and this is what the book at Zangersheide is about. I'd be fooling myself trying to breed a dressage horse off my mare. She's a national hunt mare bred to jump and I stick with that. The warmblood breeders here in Europe are serious about their breeding program and place great importance on mare lines. It'a a whole science as with the TB's. I have learned a bit about it, but moving over here I had to learn all new lines in the TB's and all the National Hunt stuff and keep up with American pedigrees and sometimes it's just too much for the brain to process.
Good Luck with your sporthorse
