DON INCAUTO (ARG) TO DEBUT ON NEW YEARS DAY

Postby louis finochio » Fri Nov 18, 2005 5:17 pm

Trainer Darrell Vienna told me Don Incauto a GR 1 winner of the Carlos Pelegrini in Argentina will make his 1st start in the US on New Years Day in the San Gabriel on the turf, at Santa Anita.

I've been watching him with great interest and will probably go out to see him. Thanks, Louis. I love South American horses. Interesting to see how they mingle South American blood with American bred stallions and then come up here and beat our horses!

Hi Swaps: The statement you made about our USA TB exported to Argentina and crossed with their bloodstock has brought back the soundness to the breed in their country.

Our TB breeders here would love to have that soundness in their breeding program.

When you go to SA to watch DI run, go to the paddock and observe DI strong bone in his underpinning and you see the difference why those Argentina TB last so long with their many lifetime starts.

The shocker about the horse is that he will be a better horse on the dirt... It's a little known fact. But i'm right.

You could be right T, as DI may take to dirt as a duck takes to water.
I will ask Darrell about his plans for running DI. and post it later.

When you come to Santa Anita to run a TB, have me paged and I will be glad to meet you in person. Every one calls me Lou the Boot Man. Yours in Sport Louis Finochio.

Louis, I'm at Santa Anita every day, and we've spoken to each other on a few different occasions, so we've already met.

To T: Since you know who I am in person, the next time we talk introduce yourself and I will then know who you are.

I have over 900 customers between HP and SA, and I know them all by name. The good lord upstairs has blessed me with a good memory.
See you on the backstretch T. Yours in Sport Louis.

Darrell Vienna said that DI has worked well on the dirt, but Darrell is going to race DI on the turf.

Did Mr. Vienna happen to mention who would be the lucky pilot for Don Incauto? I don't think I have seen another rider on the horse other than the girl that gallops for him. And although she does a good job, I think she's likely too heavy to ride

Hi T: I will inquire about the rider of DI and post it.

DI did not win the GR 1 Carlos Peligrinni, he won the GR 1 Latino Americana in (ARG) Darrell Vienna told me that DI won the former and I checked his stakes races in (ARG) to get it corrected.

Darrell Vienna's son said that they will run an entry in the San Gabriel on New Years day. Gary Tanaka the owner will run Atlando with DI.

Darrell Vienna has not decided on his riders yet.

Hey those two horses worked together today. Looked like Atlando was hard pressed to stay with Don Incauto. He's sure something! Look foreward to this colts US debut!

I went to see DI on Friday AM, he was in his stall and wearing his blanket as it was a cold morning. These TB that are in their stall must be cold as when I touch their foreheads they are ice cold. You can tell if a TB has galloped or worked as the foreheads are warm.

Looking forward to see DI run as he is the new kid on the block.

I was at the Darrell Vienna barn this morn 12/29/05 and Don Incauto was being X-Rayed for a possible injury. Tomorrow I will find out what the results of his X-Ray reveal.

For crying out loud Louis!
Do you ever stop and think that might be something any and every trainer in TB racing would object to you posting? For this alone I would never let you back in the barn. Man! For someone who has been around as long as you have been or claim to have been you sure say some not so well thought out things. Dang!
