Good Day:
I had read Native Dancer The Grey Ghost, In it is mentioned a horse owned by Sam Riddle or Walter Jeffords which I believe was the last horse he raced, Riddle. This horse would be a contemporary of Native Dancer. Does anyone have clue on the name?

According to racing historian Ed Bowen, Fort Salonga (*Mahmoud--Fortify, by Case Ace) and Bradley (Bimelech--Our Colors, by Man o' War) were the last stakes winners bred by Sam Riddle. Fort Salonga was foaled in 1950 in the same crop as Native Dancer and won the William Penn Stakes and the Juvenile Stakes in 1952. Bradley was also a member of the 1950 crop; he won the 1952 Great American Stakes and Sanford Stakes and ran third behind Native Dancer in the Flash stakes. Either of these colts the horse you're looking for?
