Postby Ruffian » Wed Nov 23, 2005 3:05 pm

Well I just bought 9 mares at keeneland. So right now I am deciding where to send them next season, etc. So didn't know if anyone had any brilliant ideas that I might of not seen on their pedigrees for mating next year.

ABDICATE
AUTUMN MOOD
BUSANG
KEDVES JULIA
MANDALIKA
PROVOCATIVE GAL
SATURDAYNIGHT GINA
SUNNYS ROSE
TRACKS OF MY TEARS

Cheers all

Are you willing for costly experiments ?

Busang to APTITUDE
3Sx3D Seattle Slew; 3S x3d Alluvial
If not a great runner, maybe a great producer will be born !

thanks... I'm still head scratching at this point. So all suggestions will be taken ... :) But obviously I think the studs are pretty booked up by now so I am hoping to get some ideas soon.

Oh and just for ease of what the plan is...

Breeding to race. With hopefully a commercial aspect just in case
Mares are all in KY and will either stay in KY or back to the UK- quite happy to ship out of state though
Price range, depends on the mare.

Thanks for the replies.

What does everyone think about Powerscourt for Provocative Gal???

I am having a rough time deciding on the others. It seems a lot of them would be better off in the UK for good bloodline matches.

Could you please list the sires and damsire for all those mares you listed?

It's just too much to expect people to look up that many pedigrees with no assurance that this or that mare will have a pedigree good enough to have been worth the trouble.

Thanks,

-llbean

I am not sure about Powerscourt with her, but I know that Alydar is a proven cross with Storm Cat and Unbridled.. So there are TONS of good options for her!

But I want to add that I LOVE Powerscourt. I want to check him out at Ashford to see his confirmation and all that.. but I LOVE him with my Doyoun mare Ceasefire... I just can't afford $12,500 ..

Take a look at Millennium Wind for Abdicate. Drone/Sir Wimborne are 3/4 brothers, and Grey Flight is duplicated 5x6 via What A Pleasure and Misty Morn.

MW will stand in New York for 2006.

The best indivisual in the famale family of SATURDAYNIGHT GINA is the gelding BRAVEST SHOT by Brave Shot out of Oleana.
For this mare I'd try another stallion from the female family of Gay Missile-Misy Baba for ex. DEERHOUND, or EAVESDROPPER.

SARURDAYNIGHT GINA/ PRIVATE TERMS

Postby hpkingjr » Tue Nov 29, 2005 6:27 am

If you are breeding to race, look at Private Terms at Claiborne for Gina. The mating would give Nearco 7x5x5x7, Native Dancer 4x5, Fighting Fox 5x5 and Nasrullah 6x4x6. Private Terms gets 82% runners and about 56% winners. May be late maturing, little or no commerial value but generally a sound runner. Interesting hypo mating

PROVOCATIVE GAL

For a mare with so much Raise a Native, I'd try a stallion with a lot of Gold Digger, with the wonderful hope to get another Mr P.

so, go for NIGHTOFTHEGAELICS

Laurie, I'm pretty sure Unfortgettable Max is going to Stonewall for a fee of $7,500.
