His granddam is a full sister to the dam of In Reality. Interesting.
All men are equal on the turf - or under it.

Their Quarter Horse roots are showing. I've never figured out what the hell that's suppose to mean.

He's been at stud in Mass for several years now....currently #5 on the state sires list by earnings, for what that's worth. ;)

Here's his pic - http://www.massbreds.com/seattlelg.htm

He's been standing at the same farm as Storm Of Angels and my favorite local guy, Red Scamper.

He's 18 and has been #5 on MA stallion list? Wonder if he's having issues in the breeding shed. He was a $200k 2 y/o.

   :o :o

Good gawd, I'm an ignoramous :? ... I had NO idea that there were that many stallions standing in Mass., except for a couple I tripped upon—and one was a sport horse TB! THANK you for mentioning this, even though I feel like a *complete* idiot...

I know TBs are being bred in Mass., of course... Just didn't think there were that many "public" stallions...

I can't believe Red Scamper had 112 starts...

Storm of Angels looks GORGEOUS... I'll have to check out the rest of the list! And, Leave Seattle looks nice as well... I hope he goes to a good home!

No need to feel silly! Flying under the radar is a Mass-bred speciality.

There aren't as many studs in Mass as there used to be. 'course, there's not as much racing in New England as there used to be....and what's left is looking rather grim. :?

It's been a long time since I was involved directly, but most local breeders I knew would breed for durability, and with an eye towards a backup career as a sport horse if the speed wasn't there. So there were never a lot of fancy names or bloodlines (there was a bit of a trend towds Olden Times-line stallions - where else would you hear that? ) but the Mass-bred races would be full of the same classy campaigners for years. And we did produce an Olympic medallist ("Out And About", known to the JC as Judge Tomasiello). :)

Well, yes... what happens with Suffolk this year will be the deciding factor for me whether I start looking at Warmblood stallions or still look at trying for a race-bred TB. And I do have the thought in my mind that I could end up with an expensive sport horse prospect... so I'm weighing things carefully...

It bums me out about the no AI rule... lots of gorgeous, reasonably-priced stallions with nice pedigrees that I'd love to look at for a TB sporthorse prospect, but the distances, boarding, etc. is hard to want to do for just a prospective pleasure mount... But at least now, I know there are some closer to home!

I am glad you posted the link! And for the background on Mass-breds. I have noted that in the last year, I've seen and cut 3 separate newspaper articles that say the equine industry is picking up in NH... so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

I looked under the Mares Bred report and didn't see him... perhaps that's why they're selling him...??

He should come to NH—he'd be #1 on the sires list!

All kidding aside... hope he's going to be OK... just hearing the name Crowley's and TB in the same sentence gives me the heebie jeebies...
