Barrett's March 2yo in Training Sale

Postby tbrace » Fri Feb 24, 2006 8:25 pm

Has anyone been down to the FairPlex to scope out some of the two year olds? We heard BC3 has some screemers. Anyone see any works yet?

I hope the Barretts sales people check the poles, to make sure those poles havent been moved to produce fast work times for those TB in those previews.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

The Richter Scale's half sister sold for $12,000 last year at the OBS Feb. sale and worked 23 seconds for 2 furlongs.

Cree,
That filly you mentioned that sold for 12k is named Bizzy Cat. She is out of Tale of the Cat. She ran 3rd(at odds of 76 to 1) on 3/1/06 in a MCL16K 3YO Filly race. The race was at the Big A.

Nevertheless, that colt that worked a 20.8 is full to a minor stakes winning filly so I expect that horse to be one of the sales topper.

You know how the 2YO sales go. They want them fast and really fast early...

Breeding has so little to do with these sales though. The Richter Scale is creating a lot of buzz, the same way What A Song did last year so he will go high. His consignor sold Brother Derek last year and has gotten some press for that locally. I expect he will be the sales topper.
