BERLIN - A German court ordered Viagra to be given to a stallion after his new owner claimed he was impotent and refused to pay the full asking price.
The buyer of the horse named Vedor paid just a tenth of the price of over $4,900, claiming it had only one testicle and failed to get frisky with a female pony.
A vet found the testicle after an examination, said Egbert Simons, a spokesman for the court in the eastern town of Neuruppin.
And when the stallion was given the potency drug, it emerged he was fully functional, he added.
The court ordered the buyer to pay the full price.

By the way: as most of You will now: there are very strict regulations in German TB-Breeding concerning the qualifications of a horse aiming to be a sire, f. e.:
- IC-Rating of at least 110 (108 under certain circumstances)
- no Lasix-Medication during his racing-career,
- no mono- or chriptochid allowed.

Don’t misunderstand me. I wouldn’t be surprised, if this story is true.
Some 15 years ago an owner-trainer let a horse run in another one’s name at Hannover race track. The horse won and landed a gamble for his owner. Off course the owner was warned off by the racing authorities. A loosing better sued for fraud to get his stake back. The case was prosecuted and got a trial. The judge (with no knowledge of tb-breeding and horse-racing) decided: “Not guilty of fraud, because a person who bets on horses is a fool and looses money on his own fault.” Unfortunately for the judge it was the last verdict he gave in a public trial, as he was withdrawn from the court of justice!
