ACCIDENT UPDATE

The staff at Sugar Maple Farm would like to thank all who have expressed their shock and concern and offered prayers for us in this very difficult time of loss and worry after the terrible accident that occurred on 4/30/06. We are overwhelmed with the outpouring of calls and emails and are very grateful for all of you we didn’t even know were out there interested in the farm and our stallions. Thank you so much for letting us know you are there.

We are happy to report that as of today, 5/3/06, A. P Jet seems to have turned the corner and is showing significant signs of improvement. He remains at the clinic and has a ways to go yet, but we are finally able to hope for a full recovery.

lets hope for the best..............................

Wow thank goodness. I hope he makes a complete recovery. How scary and tragic to have all that happen. So glad that there's some silver lining for these people and AP Jet looks like he'll make it.

That is great news!! Here's hoping he has a smooth recovery.

He has always been a favorite of mine. I remember him as yearling at Keeneland July -- this big, gorgeous colt. Seems to me this is the second near brush he has had. I believe his dam was struck by lightning and killed within days of his being weaned.

It is great news but I was at the breeding shed and I heard that he has brain damage and is on life support. I hope this is just all talk but it is scary and I really hope he is ok.

Thanks for the update, Reenci. If you feel you could share the info, we'd all be curious what injuries he sustained in the conflict. But it's entirely up to you.
