Where are you located and are you willing to ship? Know of a nice mare...Safe Again...look her up on the query...and if you're interested we'll just have to find her...long story but I am on a mission to find her...got some leads....see if she matches up with whoever you want to breed her to..I can help with the match...it's a long story but she's my last horse I have to account for...got two full sisters by her...they don't look like much on paper but these two had so much heart...one being my all time favorite...and I've been doing this for 30 years....put 2 of my kids thru college...let me know if you're interested

Tsk. You "adults" ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Did you NEVER have a dream? If you say no, you lie. This board is open to members of all ages and the young ones ought to be encouraged and assisted to the extent possible instead of squashed and demoralized. This kid has passion and exuberance and more importantly, steadfastness and determination. If he is able to hang onto those wonderful qualities as he continues to mature, you will probably be reading about him in years to come. Just think if people had made these types of negative and discouraging comments to Matz and to Prado and to Jackson or to whoever in their formative years....where might they be now INSTEAD??

I say good for you, boy. Hold on to those dreams, every one of them, and don't let negative people with negative words get you down.

If any of you want to flame me for sticking up for this kid, then go for it. I'm a big girl, and I can handle it.

Blessings to you all,

I was wondering how long that was going to take.....lol. I liked your "the tribe has spoken" TC.....I mean, look at the mare I have for sale, a few nice names in there.....I haven't gotten an offer from him.....not that I want Monopoly money anyway.

Bondama.....absolutely nothing wrong with dreams, we all had them and still do as you say. But, to make it sound like they are actively searching for prospects to buy? I think that is just a little too far.

Jerking people around and trying to "buy" horses that you have no money to buy is not dreaming its annoying.

Furthermore, this person does not write like a child, he or she writes like someone who has poor English speaking skills...perhaps this is just a troll after all. his/her posts sound an awful lot like the foreign e-mails that come from Zimbabwe trolling for bank account info.

Flame suit on

If you and your family are quite serious about looking for a filly/mare for breeding purposes, perhaps you ought to take a look at the CANTER websites...www.canterusa.org

Very often there are some very nicely bred horses for sale by their trainers at very reasonable prices. For many of them the key is to find a good home.

And, I personally have found it fascinating to delve into their pedigrees...have learned quite a bit in doing that research.

Please understand that most of the rescue organizations, such as CANTER, will not speak with a minor about available horses. Your parents will need to be involved.

Another one to check is www. midatlantichorserescue.org

Best of luck to you!

You obviously haven't read the many other topics and pages and pages of posts and pictures with respect to this YOUNG MAN named Jordan. You can rest assured he is no Zimbabwean troll, but is in fact exactly who he professes to be. You are also obviously a sad individual to be pitied. Flame suit on, indeed. Pffft.

bondama

no need to flame you whatever that means.

I saw these posts come in yesterday and was happy to see zero responses. That is the best way to stop posts that are annoying is not to respond at all.

based on afleet's posts he/she does belong on a children's post. The two I provided above are moderated and considered kid safe. This site is not. He/she is certainly not a young adult with horse business to discuss, but until a moderator agrees afleet can post what afleets wants.

Did you see the post come in yesterday? Be great if someone like you would champion his/her posts and be his/her mentor. It's just as important for a dreamer to have positive feedback to reinforce the dream as it is to create the dream. Someone like you who believes in dreams and encouraging them could really help afleet live the dreams.

Don't just chastise the adults who are annoyed by baby antics, be part of the solution.

This link may be too long to work, but here goes:

http://thoroughbredchampions.com/forum/ ... &board=8.0

This is "The Infield" at ThoroughbredChampions.com, a message board geared especially "For younger or new racing fans". Lots of knowledgeable youngsters and grown-ups there, and it's horse racing related (as opposed to other disciplines).

I hate to delve any further into this whole subject, as it's gone well beyond the point of reasonable discourse. However, Jordan, if you really are considering buying a broodmare, you need to save your pennies until September, and go to the OTOBA Mixed Sale at Oakhurst, in Newberg. That way you can find a mare for a reasonable price, and not have to pay the "big bucks" for shipping her to your place from God knows where.

Frankly, for a young person, a broodmare lease might be a better option anyway. That way someone can perhaps help to mentor you.
