Questions

You love me...you know it   Okay answer me these questions three:

1. Okay the 1986 foal of Regal Rumor is listed in the database as Spectaculat Fact (or something to that effect) and is listed as being a son of Spectacular Bid. The Jockey Club has his registered name as Regal Offer, but is he indeed by Spectacular Bid?

2. There is a horse listed in the database as follows:
Spectacular Native 1990 gelding (Timeless Native-Spectacular Fact)
The Jockey Club has no record of him and his dam disappeared from production the year he was born. Was he exported in utero?

3. Primetime North has no production record with the Jockey Club and no listing of any foreign progeny here on the db. She's a stakes winning daughter of Northern Dancer, what happened?

Bonus Round!
I'm getting ready to enter a bunch of horses from my research. Are 2yos fine to enter after they've had their first start? I know Sam has a thing about the 2yos due to name changes.

1. Yes.

2. Yes....he was foaled in Ireland.

2. No idea, I'm afraid. I can find nothing on her, perhaps she died young or proved infertile.

A horse is OK to enter once it's registered. :) While names can and do change, hopefully the person who enters an untried horse knows or is following the animal, and will create a new entry (and, more importantly, delete the old one) if the name is changed.

Overzealous folks entering young horses from sale catalogs, who don't go back to follow up on what they've done, are another matter. However, it's hardly fitting to punish everyone for that.
