SSS vs Dynaformer

Postby Derby2004 » Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:55 pm

I was looking at Sweetsouthernsaint and couldnt help but being reminded of Dynaformer. Both had humble beginnings in Fl at low level stud prices. Both throw some ugly babies, but they can flat out run, even out of so so mares. Both of their babies like the distance and can cover it on dirt or grass. SSS has had some great runners from small crops, just like Dynaformer did in the beginning. He hasnt been bred to squat and still throws graded stakes horse. Could it be sign of the future for SSS?

Dynaformer has 13 crosses of NP, and SSS has 12 crosses of NP, both stallions are an outcross for mares with 8-10 crosses of Phalaris.
Those without sin cast the first stone.

I was just looking at the two and noticed a lot of similarities. Ive always liked SSS since he first went to stud. He was a fast two year old that just broke down too early. I believe he will be one of maybe two or three Saint Ballados that actually make it. Saint Liam should get good mares and have a good shot. Another Saint Ballado I like is St Averil. Saint Ballado can be compared to his brother Devils Bag in my mind. Devils Bag has how many good sons at stud? Devil His Due. I think SSS will end up in Ky in the next year or two due to the fact his foals like a lot of distance and he can easily become commercial, even though his babies are ugly. Dynaformer was the same story.
