Okay, I know next to nothing about the racing world, but I want to know what AAA and TAAA mean. I'm finding out info on a racing QH stallion, but need a little bit of translation.

I would say AAA and TAAA refer to that stallion's class level when he raced.

:D AAA means (speed index) 90 to 100.
TAAA means (speed index) 100 and over.
If you would like check out www.AQHA.com, and you will find all
kinds of info about the QH.
That is a pretty pic of your Arab. I had the honor of loping a Arab
named "Merlot" last I heard he lives in WallaWalla,WA.
He is by far the most intelligent and handsome stallion I have ever
been around in all my years of horses (50) I would so much like to
have several foals by him to run down South. He is a Class Act !

Thanks for the info and the compliment on my gelding. The stallion that I am researching is actually his maternal grandsire. My QH mare is by a racing QH named Shanty's Bar that raced in the 60's. I wanted to know where he raced in hopes of finding a photograph of him racing. I got the info that he was AAA, but that meant nothing to me.
I checked out Merlot's record on Arab Datasource, What an athlete!! Accomplishments in endurance and racing, that's impressive. And to hear that he has a good personality is awesome.
